Aather: Memory 15

Memory: Neutral Significant: The Clock Tower Heist.
Regained: Day 2--; Game ---
Notes:

Memory:
Video is here.
What was learned:
3:05 – 5:26 : Highschool
In which Aoko Has A Lot of Feelings. Kaito should stop reading in class! Kaito should stop doing neat tricks while I'm trying to scold him! Kaitou Kid is a no good jerkass loser who should go away! Kaito should stop liking Kid! Kaito should stop teasing her about her father being a loser! Aoko is super honest and earnest with her feelings the whole time; the only thing he doesn't outright say is that the clocktower has huge personal significance to her.

It's a pretty hefty boost to JUSTICE!1 and anti-bully feelings, and to . . . mm, loneliness, in a way. She stands by her convictions, but knowing that she's pretty much the only one who gives a damn makes her sad.

9:49 – 10:20 : Kid, go home!
In which there is a rather fearless expression of opinions! Aoko turns up for Kid's heist (along with Keiko) and waves a 'Kid go home!' sign. It honestly takes a lot of guts to stand in a crowd of cheering fans like that, but she doesn't care; she wants to support her father however she can.

This part of the memory is also stage one in a KAITO DERE boost; she wonders why he didn't turn up at the heist, Keiko responds that maybe he's watching a magic show on TV, and Aoko waxes nostalgic to herself about how he's always loved magic, ever since he was a little boy. She already knows that she likes his tricks (even though she TSUNS at them), so this was kind of . . . o-oh. K-Kaito can be a jerk but Kaitodere Kaitodere.

18:54 – 19:06 : Clocktowerrrrr :(
In which Aoko tears up when Kid (apparently) successfully steals the clocktower's hands! S-SHE JUST . . . quietly tears up while everyone else is shrieking gleefully. The clocktower means so damn much to her, and Kid is an idiot thief and and her feeliiiiingssssss.

This section isssss interesting as well, because rather than yelling more . . . Aoko withdraws! She's very expressive with her anger, but the best indication that something has really gotten to her is that, after lashing out against it, she goes quiet. QUIET TEARSSSS. There's an associated loneliness ping here, too, and one that she can kind of understand—it isn't just that Kid's a thief, it's that Kid is making a mark on everything that's ever been important to her. It's Kid's fault she's lonely!

B-But rather than giving in, she holds on tightly to her convictions. Because she's Nakamori Aoko, and she's cool like that.

24:28 – 25:02: oh no Kaitodere
In which there is a flashback, and also Kaitodere. B-BASICALLY the reason why the clocktower is so important to her is because it's where she met Kaito! Tiny!Aoko was quietly waiting for her father, who was too busy with work (i.e. KAITOU KID) to come get her, when Kaito popped up and magicked a red rose out of thin air for her. Out of all the magic he's ever shown her, she secretly loves this trick the most; it means the world to her. AND SO DOES KAITO. He can be a huge jerk sometimes, but he finds a way to be there when she needs her—and even though he's a fan of the stupid thief who takes her father away from her, he brightens up her life and lets her escape the loneliness.

She remembers the flashback AS A FLASHBACK, not a memory in and of itself.

Effects:

▸ Kaito dere, clocktower dere.
